At the iPhone event where Apple demonstrated Siri, Scott Forstall clearly said that the artificial intelligence is in beta and various other languages would be supported in future. It was quite assumed that the Japanese support would arrive as well. Unexpectedly, Siri has revealed about the upcoming Japanese language support by itself when a question was asked.
Even though Siri doesn’t support Japanese language as of now, but it seems that company may release it in the software update, iOS 5.1. Otherwise, Siri wouldn’t have included Japanese in the languages which are spoken by it. Earlier, it was also rumored that the much awaited software update from Apple would also include the support for Indian accent. But this doesn’t appear to become true soon.
Some Indians might have faced issues while talking to the personal assistant called ‘Siri’. However, it works normal for short sentence. Perhaps, when it comes to long sentences, the lack of accent fails the execution of the desired command. Anyways, it’s just the beginning of something revolutionary from Apple and the fruit based company is pretty optimistic about its future.
